Feel that the comments by likes of Rummenigge say more about Bayern Munich then the fee Newcastle paid. There's a lot of entitlement in there: Woltemade is the kind of player they used to pick up purely because they're Bayern and that does not sit comfortably with them.
Woltemade is young, has done well in the Bundesliga, looked a cut above the rest in the Euro U21s and is, physically, built as you would expect from a modern striker. If he succeeds at Newcastle no one will worry about the fee. If he doesn't pretty sure that others will pay back a good chunk of it purely because the potential is so obvious.
Exactly, great analysis. Newcastle have bought potential, but he's already delivering. He ticks all the boxes. No wonder Rummenigge was so frustrated/disappointed etc.
